irq conflict maybe? but it works in windows just fine, and has really good sound, anyone got any ideas? i plug speakers into the subwoofer port and i get some sound, its just really distorted..

Did you try alsamixer, play around with it while you are playing something.

yeah, I played around and played around and had 4 people trying to help, I eventually gave up, slapped Mandriva on here, and vio la! (SP?) lol it works with it, I've not a clue about why FC4/Ubuntu 5.10 or nothing would read my sound, shrugs oh well Mandriva works good with it and I like the layout, and its pretty nice to me
