Sound volume scale in KDE mixer
My sound card (some integrated SiS using intel 8xx driver on a laptop) works perfectly.
But the volume control in KDE behaves strangely - the scale is definitely wrong.
When volume is set to 50-60% I hear absolutely nothing. At 100% I get maximum volume, but anything below these 50-60% is absolute silence.
No such problems in Windoze on the same machine. It seems that the problem is with scaling. Can I somehow map 50% to 0%, so the scale will be uniform?
I'm not sure whether the root of the problem in KDE, kernel driver or the sound chip...
Please advice!
