Sound stopped after install nvidia

Hi. This is my first post on this forum...

I have Debian installed in my computer. Few days ago, my kernel's version was 2.4.27-2-386. Following some instructions i found on the internet, i upgraded my kernel to the 2.6.8-2-686 version, to make my nvidia card works. But, when i finished the install of the video adapter, my sound card wasn't working anymore... i guess it's because of the kernel's version change, or not?

Can any1 help me? I would like my sound card working again.... :)

tks a lot! Paulera.

PS: the LSPCI command retun screen is:

Alsa is a sound system set of drivers: http://www.alsa-project.org/

Sorry don't know much about apt-get. Have you tried 'apt-get alsa' and see what happens?
