Unhappy Sound problem under RedHat 9

Hi,

While RedHat 9 has detected my soundcard [VT8233 AC97 VIA Technologies] and plays the typical guitar sound on left, right & middle channel, and still I can hear the Redhat sounds when opening applications, etc..., I just CAN'T hear any cd audio.....!!!

Any solution will be really appreciated

Tx

Hi,

well, yes I think... I mean, it works under Windows... Do you think I need to plug-in something else in order to make it work ??
Someone told me this problem could be related to the XFree86 plugins.. Do I need to load anything ??

Tx

well, here is when linux's support goes down.
you might have run some kind of software or the player have run somekind of plugin in order to tweak it around when there cable isn't connected.
i don't know what you need to do. but just do a search on google.
or why don't you just buy an sound cable?
how expensive could it be?
