Sound not workin for Creative Labs SB Audigy in Fedora 4

Hello everyone,
I have installed Fedora 3 multiple times. During installation, it correctly found the Creative Labs SB Audigy sound card and I was able to hear the test sound. I have just installed Fedora 4. During installation, Fedora 4 also recognizes the correct sound card. However, I am unable to hear the test sound. As of now, I have no audio on Fedora 4 despite the fact that it recognizes my sound card. In the volume control window, under the Change Device menu, it states Audigy 1 or 2 [Unknown] (Alsa Mixer). All the cables are plugged in and nothing is muted. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks,
Bob Johnson

Try running alsamixer or alsaconf first and then alsamixer.

Hi

I had exactly the same problem but I found the solution! :)
- run alsamixer
- search for the item "Audigy Analog/Digital Output Jack"
- turn it on using '<'

I hope it works for you.
