Sound not workin for Creative Labs SB Audigy in Fedora 4
Hello everyone,
I have installed Fedora 3 multiple times. During installation, it correctly found the Creative Labs SB Audigy sound card and I was able to hear the test sound. I have just installed Fedora 4. During installation, Fedora 4 also recognizes the correct sound card. However, I am unable to hear the test sound. As of now, I have no audio on Fedora 4 despite the fact that it recognizes my sound card. In the volume control window, under the Change Device menu, it states Audigy 1 or 2 [Unknown] (Alsa Mixer). All the cables are plugged in and nothing is muted. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks, Bob Johnson |
Try running alsamixer or alsaconf first and then alsamixer.

Hi
I had exactly the same problem but I found the solution! :) - run alsamixer - search for the item "Audigy Analog/Digital Output Jack" - turn it on using '<' I hope it works for you. Diogo Fernandes |
