Sound lost after configuring dual boot

Hi all,

I got SUSE 9 and I installed a Sound Blaster PCI 128; I was able to select the driver manually on Yast, and the sound came great.

Later, I installed Windows 2K and reinstalled my SUSE. Under Windows, I installed the card drivers from the manufacturer. Under SUSE, I went to Yast, and chose manually again the same driver as before, but when I went on to the next step, it did not show the selected driver; if I select other drivers, the next window shows them, but not the one I need.

I reinstalled SUSE side by side with windows, making sure all the sound drivers were available. However, when I use Yast to chose the precise driver for my card, Yast does not seem to take this particular choice.

Maybe I should just install the driver manually.

Maybe being windows drivers for the same card on the other side interferes with the SUSE configuration (which worked fine when SUSE alone was on my machine.

Any ideas or comments?

Thanks.

In other words, SB PCI 128 can be configured fine with SUSE only, but cannot be configured when I have both W2K and SUSE.
