Question Sound loos in OpenSuse

Hello

Last time I replaced my old computer screen by a new one(model : Fujitsu) in my OpenSuse install. This(new) screen is sound intgrated, I think since it seem to have speaker design in front!?. Before changing, the sound plays well but after removing the old screen I have no sound any more. I tried to replace my (extern) speakers that was in use ealier; still no sound. Somebody tall me that it can be driver problem. But I don't know how to perform that.

Thanks to everybody for any suggestion related to this question.

Does the new monitor include cables to plug into the soundcard at the back of the computer? If yes, are they pluged in correctly?

Please tell us the exact model of your new screen, and whether you are using an analog or HDMI cable for sound.

Exclamation Sound loos in OpenSuse - Screen model

Thanks again for your helping

I provide more informations about my screen :

Fujitsu Siemens - scenicview B17-2

On the cable I get this mention : style 20276 VW-1. The ends are broad sheets plates approximately 3.5 cm with screws.

I hope this is enough to help me.

You need a second cable to connect the output of your sound card with the sound input of the monitor.

Last time I used a cable(a green one with jack both side) bitween the screen and the sound output of the my HP's Desktop. No change. Also from the same output of the Central Unit to my old (extern) speaker doesn't change anything. Before that worked well, now not...

Do I need to reinstall something? What is sound configuration command in Open Suse? Can you show me some commands to perform to check if some package are needed?

Thanks again.

It's possible that some mixer controls are not set correctly.
Please show the output of "amixer contents".
