Sound issue

Hey guys. When I try to play 2 sounds at once, one won't output any sound. For example, if I start TeamSpeak and then Enemy Territory, Enemy Territory wont have any sound. I am running Debian GNU/Linux Sid with KDE 3.4, with the 2.6.12 kernel, and my soundcard is an integrated NVidia SoundStorm card, on the ASUS A7N8X-Deluxe NForce 2 mother board. How can I make 2 sounds play at once? Thanks a lot.

There is an option in the kde administration program under sound - I think it is 'enable duplex'. Not all cards support this so if you have a problem after this you may need to check your specs.

That did not work... I was told by someone that I may have to recompile my kernel with support for this, how would I do that? Thanks.

I would ask about kernel compiles from a Debian user. I do it on Slackware but I gather it can be different on Debian.

Make sure to back up your old kernel first!
