Sound Driver Not Loading On SuSE 10 Boot
 

I have some very old speakers (from 1995 i think - Sound Blaster 16? or Pro?), of which are working perfectly fine with SuSE 10. I am using the snd-intel8x0 sound driver.

The only problem is that after every boot of the machine, I have to re-configure the device in Yast2.

What I do
Open Yast2 >> Hardware >> Sound

From here, I delete the configured device. Then I click edit to re-configure it. I choose the quick automatic option.

Once the config is saved, it works fine. Without doing this, I get no sound.

I cannot find anywhere which tells the file I may need to add an extra line in to have it work after boot, or any other way of getting around this.

Any suggestions?

Kernel Version in SuSE 10: 2.6.13-15-default
