sound card problem on slacware 10.2
now i have a very strange problem...
my sound card is integrated in my MB, and i have no idea what it is...
when i try to play sound my xmms tells me that the SC is not configured. I have no idea how to configre the card, or even if there are any drivers for it (since i don't know where to check (i know about the alsa drivers))
can someone help...
oh my PC is very old so i have no idea what the MB is...

have you tried to run from the root command prompt:
alsaconf
alsamixer
alsactl store

yes and for some strange reason they are missing...
i have installed alsa mixer from the CD but it just won't run...
the PC has also a built in speaker...and i wanted to use that...
darn it...
btw is there an already configured alsa-driver cus` i tried to install one from a source and i had an error in the "make" process...
