sound card problem on redhat 9


my redhat 9 system hangs as soon as i play sound. my sound card is c-media 8738 on board is detected correctly. and module loaded is cmpci.
pls help.

Sorry. I meant lspci -v

What you want to eliminate is the sound card using the same interrupt and memory as another pci device. They can use the same interrupt, but not both the same interrupt and memory location.

Check that out.
