You might want to post some info about your system. Trying to help someone when they posted a message like you did is like calling your doctor and saying, "I'm sick" and expecting him/her to read your mind and figure out what's going on. I'm not trying to be a smart ***, just trying to help, as I'm still a novice user of *nix.

First, mark this question as solved (even though it's not). Then re-post the question with info about your system - plus give it a better title like, "2 sound cards in system, 1 not working" or whatever you think fits.

What you need to list - and how. All your hardware, the version and distro of Linux (which you did), whether you have applied any or all updates.

Then open a terminal window, and type the commands listed below and copy/paste the output here.

Code:
lspci >info.txt
lsusb >>info.txt
dmesg >>info.txt
Note that the > is doubled the 2nd and 3rd time, so it doesn't overwrite the file, but instead adds to it.

When you paste that info here, select it w/your mouse, and click the # at the top of the window to denote it as code (so it's easier to read in your message).

Then someone MAY be able to help you. Good luck.
