Sound card and Videocard/monitor not working

Hey all,

I just bought a new computer, and the three pieces of hardware that is really giving me trouble is the Audigy soundcard, the MSI Geforce FX5900XT and my new Samsun LCD SyncMaster 173s.

Nothing is being recognized

Okay, for the sound card, when i go and try and install the audigy harddrive, it finds it with the label "SB0090 Audigy Player". When i tell it to do a Quick automatic setup, it says i have an error with installing it and the error message was "The kernal module snd-emu10k1 for sound support could not be loaded. This can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including IO or IRQ parameters. Even the onboard sound, the Nforce AC97 Control gives me the same error, but nothing to do with snd-emu10k1..

Now for the screen, I'm forced to use VESA because i cannot find my SyncMaster 173s model in the Samsung list . I dunno what else i can do.

Now for the video card, It is an MSI Geforce FX5900XT, i can't seem to find it in the list of drivers.. I tried downloading it from the update center in YAST but for some reason nothing happened.

I'm a complete newbie when it comes to linux, so i'm still trying to figure all this stuff out..

Any help would be great, i really don't want to go back to windows

hmm, actually for the monitor, i got it under the LCD option.. so i dunno if that's the right thing to do.. but the image quality looks really crummy.. I believes it's because the video card isn't being recognized and i'm using vesa :S
