Sound Blaster Problems
 

I am using KDE and Conectiva. The problem I am having is that Conectiva Automatically configured my Sound blaster Live card to work with the 5.1 speakers. I don't have 5.1 speakers and the two speakers hooked up will not work right. It is very low, I can barly here them. Yes I tried kmix and the pcm setting, etc. Did an LQ and Google Linux search with no results. What I need to do is change it so it works with the two speakers and I don't know how to do that. Any advice anyone? Thanks.

look at the output of
"amixer" for a while
that is the most difinitive way to see mixer settings

all of the outputs and inputs on the card are most likely working correctly
accept possibly digital out
try turning up
"Wave" and "Wave Surround"

alsa mixer takes a while to get used to but is very powerfull once you figure it out
