Sound and RedHat 9
I have read through a lot of different sound threads and unless i have missed it I have a different problem. My sound card(Cirrus Logic CS4614/22/24 [CrystalClear SoundFusion]) is deteced and i can hear my system sounds but I can't play the test sound or get any sound from any other programs (UT, UT2003, mp3's, and mpg's). When I first Installed RH9 it played the test sound without a problem. I have gone into the mixer and changed settings. No difference. Help please.

First of all, RH 9 doesn't support mp3's mpeg encoding. Unless you've found a way around it, you won't hear sound from mp3's regardless. As for the rest, I'm not sure.

I think alsa installs with some things muted that you have to adjust before you can hear it.
