sorround speakers 5.1

How can i make work a 5.1 speaker system on Mandriva 2006 ? (only fornt speakers working)

Did you try opening up kmix or alsamixer to enable the rear speakers? I've never used 5.1 on a PC, but all the configuration should be there. This is if the alsa drivers for your sound card are correct. You can check out for compatibilty.
