Sony G200 shaking in Mandrake 9.2

I just installed Mandrake 9.2.

Running at 1024x786 @ 85hz (the default), there's a very slight shaking effect on my screen - the entire image is jittery. If I go to any other resolution/refresh rate, it gets much much worse - this includes lowering it. I checked the monitor's properties in the control panel and its horizontal and vertical rates didn't match the numbers on the spec sheets. Changing the capabilities to match the spec sheets had no effect. Both my video card (a GeForce 4MX) and monitor are capable of 1280x1024 @ 85, but I can't get that set up.
