Unhappy Sony Cybershot

Hey all I was trying to do this tut. --> http://www.techtv.com/screensavers/l...576943,00.html and I got it to mount in "/mnt/camera" but then when I went to it there were not dir or pictures in it but when i unplug the camera I can view the images from the camera side (so i know there are images in it) did sony just make it so it can't be read by linux or did i mount it useing the wrong system or somthing? becasue it seemd to auto mount (like a cd rom or somthing) I did not need to type "mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/camera" (or somthing like that) its very odd. I would love some help.

PS I did mount the camera in root.

HI

Ok, so you followed that exactly then? You should try actually using the "mount" and "umount" commands, since you don't have anything setup in your fstab, I don't think it will "automagically" know where you want to mount things.

I have a DSC-S50, but I use a memory stick reader instead of the camera, but that shouldn't matter.

I need to modprobe usb-storage and then I can plug that in and run 'mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/sony' and then my card is mounted in /mnt/sony.

HTH or at least points you towards somewhere to go from here.
