some keyboard keys not working
Hi,
my keyboard is playing up. Keys 'a,b,c,n' are not responding. Is there anything I can do, apart from buying a new keyboard. This is a Toshiba Satellite laptop.
The problem is the same in Ubuntu or Windows, so I kind of rule out an OS problem.

It took a while, but I figured out how to take the keyboard off. This model, you just need a safety knife, slip it in vertically between the keyboard and the casing, there are 4 little catches at the bottom of the keyboard, then you can lift the keyboard from the bottom upwards and out. Don't bother undoing any screws!
No cleaning necessary, it was spotless. Still doesn't work though! Will order a new one. I reckon the problem is the little flat cable thingy that connects it to the mainboard.
