Socket status: 30000007 problem...
 

i have a ibm thinkpad with knoppix distro installed... it was working really good, not any problem..

i was working with buej, it was woking nice and then it suddenly got freeze... so i rebooted it...

when it was loading everything at the beginning it got stuck in a line that said this....

Socket status: 30000007

i waited lots, but it stayed there...

I'd really like someone to help me... I dont know if it is O.S poblems, or is the PC.. is there a way i can do a recovey wihtout losing any of my data... I use the knoppix live cd and i could see my data and i think i could backup it ..and reinstall the OS...but since i dont know if it is OS problems, i'd rather prefer you to suggest and help me... Should i reinstall the OS... Is threre a clean-recovery way without having to back-data, but just replace system files...

My hd is partiotioned in two, the second one was created just for data, and windows sharing purposes... but i'm worried i have not enough space to save everything, like downloaded appz from hda1 to second one... is there a way i can transfer files to a windows pc... which samba command can i use... ?...i used to copy files really easy from window$ to my linux, but i could never do the other way (linux --> windowz)
