sndconfig


i must be quick
Dell PC using built in snd CS4623
using sndconfig the first wave file launches
the midi file is next and crashes.

/lib/modules/2.4.18.mdk/kernel/driver/sound/opl3.0.gz:init-module
no such device

where and how or what direction do i need?????

It looks like support for mentioned module wasn't included
I'd do a make xconfig and see if support was included. If not add as module recompile make modules and modules_install.

sndconfig

i think im just gonna purchase a decent pci sound card and disable the built in card in bios.

It just caused problems for the longest time.
