snd_hda_intel not working properly in 64 bit FC6

i m using x86_64 edition of FC6. my sound card is nVidia Corporation MCP61 High Definition Audio (rev a2).recently i upgraded to 2.6.20 kernel well ALSA is compiled as module. and wen i play sounds its working properly.
But everytime i change volume thrw kmix or alsamixer it stops working. i need to unload module snd_hda_intel and reload it every time i change volume settings.

Does anyone hs same problem?
i think this is problem with 64bit version only coz. its working properly on 32bit.

Did you recompile the nvidia module after upgrading the kernel?

Nvidia advises recompiling the nvidia driver after upgrading the kernel.
