SMP in Slackware 8.0

I have a slackware 8.0 distro which I am still a fan of, however I dont know whether it supports SMP (symmetric multi-processing) I dont have a box to test the install on at the moment, to se whethere there is a SMP enabled Kernel. Does anyone know whether Slack 8 comes with an SMP kernel? Thanks.

Slackware 8 requires that you compile the kernel to get SMP.

This is the way it is even with the newer ones up to version 10.

Compiling the kernel is easy, it just takes time. There are plenty of posts on this site to help, if you require info.
