small keyboard

hello

i want to buy a new keyboard for me. but this keyboard has only 86 keys (looks really cool).

i am nut sure weather this kind of keyboard is supported by the X-server? usually you can only select a keyboard with (at least) 101 keys.

will this keyboard be supported?

thanks

It could be what is/were called a "hacker's" keyboard which was very small/compact with only the keys needed by the "hacker". I'm sure it's plenty compatible with Linux/X.

Not sure if this is supported or not. May be you can check the HCL
(Hardware Compatibility List) for your distro.

Kind of scary to buy hardware because "looks cool"

Just a thought.
