Slower speed NIC after Motherboard change

Hi,

I changed my motherboard to an Asus, all is working fine, (all configured with kudzu) also the nic (SMC gigabit PCI), but the speed is slower than before. (max 10mB/s) measured in Windows with Du Meter..

Also, ethtool eth2 command says no data to show..

I have FC3, cpu 2.8 ghz and a Promise ATA/133 PCI controller., I use Cat5e utp cable.

dmesg says:

eth2: -- ERROR --
Class: Hardware failure
Nr: 0x270
Msg: 2 Pair Downshift detected

eth2: network connection up using port A
speed: 100
autonegotiation: yes
duplex mode: full
flowctrl: symmetric
irq moderation: disabled
scatter-gather: enabled
