Slow FPS full screen FC5 using Nvidia GeForce MMX 400
Hi
I am new to Linux but enjoying using it and would like to move completely to it eventually, but I am suffering some graphics issues. I recently downloaded Flight gear flight sim and in a window it runs fine around 30 FPS when I switch to full screen however, it goes down to 1 FPS. I am running a Sempron 2600+ with 512 mb DDR ram and an Nvidia Geforce MMX 400 graphics card with 64 mb of ram. when I run glxgears I am getting;
3596 frames in 5.0 seconds = 719.092 FPS
3724 frames in 5.0 seconds = 744.729 FPS
3727 frames in 5.0 seconds = 745.378 FPS
1743 frames in 5.0 seconds = 348.164 FPS (To full screen)
509 frames in 5.0 seconds = 101.652 FPS
509 frames in 5.0 seconds = 101.624 FPS
509 frames in 5.0 seconds = 101.624 FPS
as you can see a significant drop in FPS when I switch to full screen mode. As you request in your introduction email I have included the info Below:
