Hi all,
I am new round here so please be gentle.
My name is Chris, my friends call me Bully. Hello.
I installed slackware 11 on my laptop last nite. I have used linux several times before, I have used, Mandrake, Red Hat, Debian(a bit over my head!) and now I am on slackware. I have not used linux for a couple of years now tho and slipped bak into the windows way of life
I'm a gamer at heart!
Anyway enough blabbing.
My laptop is: Dell inspiron 9100 just over acouple of years old.
3.2Gig P4 desktop processor with HT.
1 gig pc3200 DDR
ATI radeon mobility(whatever they call it) 9700 128MB
100Gig HD
Onboard broadcom 10/100 LAN
Onboard Dell 1350 Wireless Adapter
8x DVD rewriter
I installed Slackware 11 with 3 partitions (no windows on my lappy now
)
20Gig root
5Gig swap drive
75Gig assigned to /usr/local
I cant seem to get the wireless working.
I have not installed any drivers yet. I have looked around the forums and used search etc.
From what I can tell my wireless uses the broadcom chip.
I have not been able to find a driver for this.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Or has no driver been made for this device?
Or should I be using the ndiswrapper thing?
Thanks in advance for any advice is welcomed
Cheers,
Bully
