SIS651 3D-Graphic not working under Suse 9
 

Hello,
im using the Asus-Mainboard P4S533-MX with the SIS651 Chipset for shared Graphic. Problem is the 3D-Graphic isnt working. Suse only installs SIS650 driver. Checked I-net for other drivers/informations if there is a chance to get 3D-Graphic running, but didnt found something.
Someone has experience with this Board and or Chipset and can tell me if the 3D is working under Linux or not?

My guess would be that your on board is not supported by SuSE, I had almost the same problem with my nvidia drivers under suse 9, it may not be just linux though suse seems to have problems with graphic card drivers of all types, the only graphics card I have gottent to work is the nvidia FX 5200 ultra so buy a different graphics card? live with out 3D acceleration? find a different Distro that supports your chipset?

Thanks for the awnser, but it would really interests me, if someone is out there who got the SIS651 3D-Functions working under any Linux-Distro. Or if some "Profis" tried it and had to gice up?
