sis 964/suse 9.1 problem
suse pro 9.1 uses kernel 2.6.4-52... the floppy disk i made with the serial ata driver on it isnt being read as having the driver on it. I know that kernel 2.6.6 or 2.6.7 has support for my SATA controller but how would i go about using a different kernel? i am stuck on a windows machine, no PATA hard drives... i am installing suse pro 9.1 from a dvd, is there anything i can do?

would i be able to just reburn the dvd with some different files to create a dvd that contains the updated kernel that will let me install onto a SATA hd?
