sis 630 on board video install problem

I am running slackaware 8.1, and trying to install a sis 630 driver on my on-board video card. I already try to use xf86config but it can't switch to higher resolution.

I also try to use "xf86cfg" in xfree86 4.2.0, just selecting the sis630 in the list. But after i save the setting, I can't see anything on my screen.

the bus id is set to PCI, do I have to edit that setting?

i am using jetway 830CF w/ on board sis630 video.
pls help...
