SiliconImage 3112 driver for setup routine of Debian
hi there,
I'm quite new in Linux/Debian and have a problem with my onboard S-ATA controller "SiliconImage 3112". The Debian installation routine is asking for a floppy disk with a driver to get access to my HDD. SImage does not provide a driver file, just saying the file can be get from kernel.org... where I cannot find anything :-(
I've read that it is an option to integrate a patch into the kernel or compile a kernel myself - whatever I dot not know enough about Linux to to so.
Can anyone tell me, where to find the files to get the setup routine of Woody working with my RAID-0 system??
thank you so much.
kind regards,
daniel
