Siemens CX65/75 in Debian Etch

Hello everybody.

Recently I spent some time on setting up my new cell phone Siemens CX 75 under Linux. I placed my results in this blog entry.

I have a couple of questions, and I hope that anyone could answer them:
1) I mount the file system of the phone as "siefs"(Siemens file system). It looks like Nautilus is not "siefs"-capable: when I try to access my mount point with Nautilus, it returns an error. Is it possible somehow to enable browsing in Nautilus?
2) when I mount the file system of the phone, I cannot use it anymore as modem or phone (for example, with kmobiletools). Can it be related to the access permissions which I set on the folder/mount point? Is it possible to use the phone as phone AND as storage media?

I would appreciate any help.

Regards,
Andrey

Browsing with Nautilus: problems with "mount" and ownership

Hello everybody.

I just discovered an interesting thing: when I mount my CX75, the ownership of the folder "/mnt/cx75" (mount point) changes from andrey:users into root:root. It makes impossible for me to browse the content of the phone.

Does anyone knows the solution? I tried to change the ownership of the folder after mounting - no results, it remains root:root.

Regards,
Andrey
