Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

sick beard and auto torrent

I have an IOMEGA NAS drive that has a torrent program built in such that it will start downloading any torrent file placed in one of its folders.
Is there a program that I can get to specify TV programs and films (PVR) that will put the torrent files into the folder of the NAS drive?

Alternatively, can I replace the firmware on the IOMEGA with FreeNAS?
