Shuttle PC12 multi-card reader, how to setup it correctly under Linux

Hi,

Along with my new Shuttle SN95G5 SFF barebone, I've purchased an accesory to substitute the traditional floppy disk drive with a multicard reader, stated as PC12 model number by shuttle...

This model is driven by an USB 2.0 interface, but I have to ask this although it could sound stupid at first...

Must I compile the kernel with any special option to be able to make use of it? I mean... in the USB options or maybe there's another place in the kernel configuration I must pay a visit?

Thanks in advance,

Julio

particlehunter; 1st check with mfg of device if it is compatible with linux. if so
then check with LQO compatibility list:
http://tldp.org/HOWTO/Hardware-HOWTO/index.html
if it is listed then ur os should detect it and should ease installation process.
other wise u may have to compile/config
so that it will work.
