sharp mx-2300n printing problems

If this would go better in a different forum please move it.

Our office has a Sharp MX-2300n printer. Everyone has their own unique ID key (eight numbers) to put in so it knows who is printing. I have installed the ppd file for my printer from linuxprinting, I have installed the printer, but when I go to print the printer acts like its going to print, but then doesn't print anything. It does this in windows if you don't have your ID number. Is there a way to set this in linux (I use ubuntu)?
