Unhappy Setup printing.


Does anyone know how I can get my printer (COmpaq) to work with my Linux (Red HAt 8)?

well i know i am not a psychic to know what Compaq printer you specifically have, so you'll have to state the model of it ..

doh sorry... its a Compaq IJ750. Now the problem is I got to the print que and then all put in the Compaq IJ750 and the "driver", then when after applying, I try to do a test page and nothing happens, and the printer is turned on too.

well here is a good little read for you regarding your printer :

according to this you need to use the lexmark 3200 driver ....
go figure ... the lexmark drivers dont work for lexmark printers, but they have them used for compaq printers

Ok I looked at the web site and still having problems with printing. I guess I need a step by step process.
