setting up wireless mouse

Hello All,

I am attempting to set up a mini optical mouse opm-602 in ubuntu (hoary 5.04) on a dell inspiron 4000. Upon boot, the relevent part of dmesg is

Code:
usb 1-1: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 2
usbcore: registered new driver hiddev
input: USB HID v1.10 Mouse [Cellink Co., LTD. Wireless RF Mouse] on usb-0000:00:07.2-1
usbcore: registered new driver usbhid
drivers/usb/input/hid-core.c: v2.0:USB HID core driver
Upon hot plugging it, I run dmesg and the following is added at the end.

Code:
usb 1-1: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 3
input: USB HID v1.10 Mouse [Cellink Co., LTD. Wireless RF Mouse] on usb-0000:00:07.2-1
I also have tried running
Code:
cat /dev/input/device
for all devices in /dev/input/, then wiggling the mouse and seeing if any garbage appears -- nothing.

Can anyone help me get this going? Thanks,

Andy

... it's working now. I'm kind of unclear what I did, but it had nothing to do with linux not finding the mouse correctly and everything to do with mouse and usb stick communicating with each other. in any event, problem solved.
