Setting up the G5 Mouse (v2)

I have a G5 mouse second edition. It is the blue one with two thumb buttons.

I am using Ubuntu 7.10, and I have got most of it to work, well, everything except for side scroll.

I was wondering if anyone had it set up correctly, and if they did, could you please share your xorg.conf.

My main goal is to have the side scroll go between tabs, the back button to = mouse wheel click and the forward button to = back (on a browser). Can I do this? Maybe without completely configuring the mouse.
