setting up printer

ok . Wel i was trying this whole day tryin gto set up my printer canon s450 which is usb and parrallel.

Well i was reading the cups guide on how to install the printer and usb was being a pain till i had to remove the whole bloody kernel and get one from kernel.org instead of the gentoo one. Now usb is finally working.

how i used the cups web interface to set it up.

I had like 10 options for canon s450+ cups-print i picked one of them and tried a test page but it did not work.

/dev/usb/lp0 is there

now what do i do from here?
