Setting up a Webcam with Gnomemeeting

I'm trying to set up a CreativeLabs USB Webcam on my machine
(Model # PD1001), I got the latest epcam driver for it, and have everything set up. But The camera doesn't support the default colour palette used by Gnomemeeting and I'm having difficulty finding the correct colour palette. Unfortunately my searches for this particular camera don't yeild much and I'm otherwise stumped so I thought I'ld try asking here.

Hi!, I've got the same camera. I patched kernel (with epcam patch) . kernel recognized creative pd1001 webcam ok. But any program can get any image with it.

How can I probe the webcam on linux?

Thanks
