Setserial command for Linux 2.0.35

If anyone has anytime, please tell me if I am correct with setserial command.

'setserial /dev/ttyS2 port 0x7c irq 5 skip_test'

Is this correct?

I am using for Intel 536ep internal Intel pci modem. Please inform me if you are able what the correct usage of this command is as 'root.' Currently, system locks up on terminal and fails. Is it possible this method works for the Intel internal pci modem?

Thanks,
