set the IO address of the serial port of my computer to 0x3e8 during kickstart stage
I want to set the IO address of the serial port of my computer to 0x3e8.
However, I do not want to go into the BIOS to set that.
Is that a way to set that during the kickstart stage (i.e. partitioning the hard disk, installing the OS, etc)?
After the kickstart stage is done, I login as root, and the "setserial" command fail to set the serial port IO address.
If the "setserial" command is issued during the kickstart stage, will it set the serial port IO address?
