Set order of HDD controllers


Hello,

How can i set the order of controllers which Debian loads? One of my problems is that it is initializing my PCI-e controllers first and my OS drive is being named /dev/sde.
Also is it possible to list which port of which controller a HDD is plugged into?

Is this actually causing you any problems?

If it's affecting the mounting of system drives, then you really should be specifying drives in your fstab using UUIDs or device labels, rather than the device number.

You might check the output of lshw for your second question.
