Sempron question
Hi. I've bought a Sempron processor. The seller told me it supported 64 bit computing. When I boot my box, the POST says: "Processor: Sempron 64 bit ready". The question is: can I run 64 bit Linux on it? It seems so, but I'm not quite sure...

Sure - of course you can!
For example, I've been running 64-bit Suse Linux 9.2 on my AMD/Semperon ... and successfully upgraded it to Suse 10.0 last night. Auto-detection and auto-configuration worked flawlessly. You can run either 64-bit or 32-bit apps with no problem.
