Selecting Audio Output

My computer has two modes for audio output:

1) A motherboard Audio device, ATI SB5450 HDA Audio

2) A PCI card, Ensoniq ES1371.

I'd like to use the motherboard audio jack only for system sounds (beeps) and the PCI card for playing music, usually with Amarok.

Please tell me how to direct any audio output to any audio device if it is possible to do that.

Thank you.

Thank you

Peacedog,

Thank you very much. That link is exactly what I was looking for.

I wanted to get a better understanding of using multiple cards.
