Seeking suggestiion on LCD display

Hi folks,

I need a 23"/24" LCD display for computer with following essential requirement:
height adjusting
resolution - 1920 x1080
AVG and DVI input

I found following models:-

Philips 23" 230C1HSB LCD(12000:1,2ms,USB,DVI,HDMI,Spk,Full HD)
Philips 23" 230E1HSB LCD (12000:1,DVI,HDMI,Spk,Full HD)

and

Philips 24" 244E1SB LCD(25000:1,2ms,USB,DVI,HDMI,Spk,Full HD)
Philips 24" 241E1SB LCD (25000:1,DVI) black

Their price are acceptable to me.

Please shed me some light on follows;
Full HD - what is it for?
25000:1,2ms and 12000:1 - would the former be better with faster refresh rate ?

Built-in speaker is NOT important to me.

Acturally I prefer 23" model because of the computer table size. But I found the price for 23" and 24" LCD displays are almost the same.

Please comment. Are there any other suggestions on makers and models. There are NOT many LCD displays with height adjustment on market. TIA

I don't know what all the specs mean, but:

1. Look at viewing angle**---this is what governs what people see when viewing the monitor from the side.

2. The absolute best I have ever seen for 24" wide monitors is the Dell 2407.

**My home monitor, which I think is **good** is speced at 170 degrees horiz and vertical. The latest Dell 2407 models are 178 degrees

Yes the Dell 2407 has height adjustment---but I would research monitors on the manufacturer's website and not on YouTube.....

Hi pixellany,

I have been searching couple days for a 23" or 24" LCD display with;
Code:
Height adjustment
resolution - 1920 x 1080 approx
viewing angle 170 /160 deg approx
input - VAG/DVI/HDMI
not many LCD displays with height adjustment were found.

I found follows;
Code:
Philips 23" 230T1SB LCD-TV(16:9,50000:1,HDMI,SPK,Full HD) (without height adjustment)

Philips 23" 230C1HSB LCD(12000:1,2ms,USB,DVI,HDMI,Spk,Full HD) (without height adjustment)

Philips 23" 230E1HSB LCD (12000:1,DVI,HDMI,Spk,Full HD) (without height adjustment)

Philips 23" 230T1SB LCD-TV(16:9,50000:1,HDMI,SPK,Full HD)
without height adjustment

Philips 23" 230C1HSB LCD(12000:1,2ms,USB,DVI,HDMI,Spk,Full HD) without height adjustment

Philips 24" 244E1SB LCD(25000:1,2ms,USB,DVI,HDMI,Spk,FullHD)
without height adjustment

Philips 24" 240B1CB LCD(16:10,25000:1,DVI,USB,Spk)
(with height adjustment but without HDMI input

Philips 24" 240S1SB CD(16:10,25000:1,USB,DVI)
(with height adjustment but without HDMI input
Their price are acceptable to me. I wonder whether finally I have to sacrifice some spec in my selection

P.S. What will be the difference in function between LCD and LED displays? Thanks
