sda: Write Protect is off

Hi,

I'm running centOS 4.3 and I just update the kernel to 2.6.17.6. I notice this some 'write protect is off' message on dmesg but I'm not sure if thats normal or not.

do you know anything about it

It's just checking to see if the drive/media has a write protect feature, and if so, the status of said feature.

Yep, I get the same message with my serial ATA hard drive. Nothing to worry about.
