Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

scsi1: data parity error

I run Debian and I keep getting a data paraty error

It goes like this:

scsi1: PCI error Interrupt at seqaddr = 0x[7-9]
scsi1: Data Parity Error detected during address or write data phase

Then those two lines keep appearing every three seconds or so.

The pre cursor to this happening was plugging a camera in. I plan to wait for kernel 2.6 to stabalize and then to compile mass media device into it so the cam can act as more than a camera.
Can I do anything about this data parity error?
YOu know it does not always happen and there really is no trigger (that I can see). Usually it happens only in alt-cntrl-F1-6 but sometimes it starts doing it in the desktop emulators.
Any ideas?
