SCSI RAID Controller for SuSE Linux SLES9

Hi all,

I've got a friend with an enterprise mail application (that his employer is requesting) that will only run comfortably on SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 without the full service packs. His Adaptec controller only works during install for SLES9 when the service packs are slipstreamed in. I haven't had a chance to use SLES9 much, so I'm not sure there isn't a way to make this work.

My question is: has anyone used a SCSI controller card under SLES9 that they felt worked well? If so, what type and what were any "extra" steps that were required to make it work?

Thanks!
