Unhappy SCSI disks conflicts on ADAPTEC 29160

Hi, everybody,

I have a PCI ADAPTEC 29160 SCSI card on my PC with an internal SCSI disk (ID=6) booting Linux REDHAT7.3.

I wanted to add an external SCSI disk (ID = 2) on this SCSI.

When I try to reboot the system, it doesn't recognize the boot disk and tries to boot on the network.

It seems to be a conflict between the disks and I don't understand why. I already have an external DAT drive on this SCSI (ID=3).

Thanks if you have an answer.

Verify the SCSI terminator is correctly installed. Also make sure the total cable length is less then the max ( 3 meters?).

Try removing the DAT and just connecting the external SCSI drive.

Thank you Mickael,

I have already tried to remove the DAT, without success.
And the SCSI terminator is OK.

I believe in a bad BIOS or ADAPTER configuration. Is it possible?

Thank you
